You Don't Have to Know What Kind of Therapy You Need
You don't need a diagnosis. You don't need all the answers. You just need a place to begin.
One of the most common things I hear from new clients is:
"I'm not really sure what's wrong. I just know I don't feel like myself anymore."
If that's how you're feeling, you're not alone.
Many people wait months, or even years, before reaching out because they believe they need to know exactly what they're struggling with or which type of therapy they need. The truth is, that's not your job.
How We Work Together
My role is to help you make sense of what you're experiencing.
Together, we'll explore what's been happening in your life, how you're feeling emotionally and physically, the patterns you've noticed, and what may be contributing to your current challenges. We'll also identify your strengths, your goals, and what meaningful change would look like for you.
From there, I'll recommend an evidence-based, individualized approach that best supports your needs. That may include one therapeutic modality or an integration of several approaches over time. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and your treatment should reflect your unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
Therapy Begins with Understanding You
You don't need to decide whether you need CBT, EMDR, hypnotherapy, or another therapeutic approach before booking your first appointment.
You simply need to know that something in your life isn't working as well as you'd like it to.
You may be experiencing:
Constant worry or overthinking
Stress or burnout
Difficulties in your relationships
The effects of a painful or traumatic experience
Grief or a significant life transition
Feeling emotionally overwhelmed or disconnected
A sense that you've lost confidence or no longer feel like yourself
What to Expect
Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another.
We'll explore:
What has brought you to therapy at this point in your life
The challenges you're currently experiencing
Your personal history and the experiences that may have shaped you
Your goals for therapy
Any questions or concerns you have about the therapeutic process
There is no pressure to share everything in one session. Therapy moves at a pace that feels safe, respectful, and collaborative.
My Approach
I believe that lasting change begins with understanding, not judgement.
My role is not to tell you who you should be. It's to help you better understand yourself, strengthen your emotional resilience, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful, lasting change.
Together, we'll create a therapeutic approach that is tailored to you, grounded in research, informed by compassion, and focused on helping you build the life and relationships you want.
You Don't Have to Figure It Out Alone
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel uncertain, but you don't have to have everything sorted before you reach out.
If you know that something needs to change, that's enough.
We'll figure out the rest together.
